self portrait collage
This started as a sketchbook project, a way to get unstuck during a very demoralizing year.
Originally, the intent was simply to keep a sketchbook, something I have never been able to stick with. I started with a few very uninspired attempts in pencil, charcoal, water color, gouache, etc. All quite awful.
Then I tried collage. Bingo!
This is a new medium for me. It’s fun to see how the series progressed over the 2 months. There are 50 collages in all.
