playing....

I recently completed a very brightly colored series of geometric paintings that I started last year.

That Rosie Lee Tompkins retrospective at the BAMPFA left a huge impression on me….STILL thinking about all those bright colors and her unexpected arrangement of the quilt blocks.

That got me playing around with my paintings.

And that reminded me of those wooden pattern blocks my kids played with.
